Letters of Interest for City Council Vacancy
The Walsenburg City Council is accepting letters of interest for a vacant Ward-1 council seat. Submitters must be registered electors, at least 18 years of age who have resided in Ward-1 for the last consecutive 12 months.
Letters must be received by 4:00 p.m. June 30, 2021. Address letters to: Deputy City Clerk, City of Walsenburg, 525 S. Albert Ave., Walsenburg, CO 81089.
Office term ends at the council meeting following the Nov. 2 election when a successor takes the oath of office. The appointed person may choose to run for election in the Nov. 2 election. The council will consider submissions at its regular meeting July 6. Council may, at its sole discretion, make an appointment, re-advertise, or decide to fill the vacancy by election.
