Mission Statement
The goal of City of Walsenburg is to provide a safe and reliable supply of potable water to customers within the service area in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act and Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDHPE) regulations.
Water treatment plant
In 2001 the City began operating Micro-Floc treatment plant. The plant has a capacity of six million gallon a day. current usage averages 1. 2 million gallons a day during the summer and 650 thousand gallons per day during winter.
The Water Treatment Plant is operated in compliance with CDPHE Regulation11.
