Subject: Letter of Interest to fill Council Member Vacancy
The Walsenburg City Council is accepting Letters of Interest for a vacant Ward-1 council seat. Submitters must be registered electors, at least 18 years of age, and have resided in Ward-1 for the last 12 consecutive months. Letters must be received by 4:00pm – March 31, 2023. Address letters to: Walsenburg Deputy City Clerk – 525 S. Albert Ave Walsenburg, CO 81089. Office term ends at the council meeting following the Nov. 2 election when a successor takes oath of office. The appointed person may choose to run for the seat in the Nov. 2nd election. The council will consider submissions at its regular meeting April 4, 2023. Council may, at its sole discretion, make an appointment, re-advertise, or decide to fill the vacancy by election.
