Letters of Interest for City Council Vacancy
The Walsenburg City Council is accepting letters of interest for a vacant Ward-1 council seat. Submitters must be registered electors, at least 18 years of age who have resided in Ward-1 for the last consecutive 12 months.
Letters must be received by 4:00 p.m. June 30, 2021. Address letters to: Deputy City Clerk, City of Walsenburg, 525 S. Albert Ave., Walsenburg, CO 81089.
The Volunteer Cleanup at Lathrop Youth Camp scheduled for 3/13 from 10am to 2pm has been CANCELED due to the potential weather conditions and will be rescheduled for later.
The City of Walsenburg will be doing our second cleanup at the old Lathrop Youth Camp just east of the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center on Saturday March 10th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The South Central Council of Governments has received funds from the City of Walsenburg’s Cares Act allocation. If you are a resident of Walsenburg and have suffered financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SCCOG may be able to assist with payment of outstanding utilities including water, sewer, propane, and gas.
